Important update regarding the Telstra 3G Network shutdown

Please see the important update to the decommissioning of Telstra 3G Network

  • 3G Network Updates:

  • The decommissioning date of Telstra 3G network shutdown has been extended from August 31st, 2024, to October 28th, 2024.

    This means that after October 28th, 2024, devices that are not 4G/5G/VoLTE compatible will no longer be able to connect to our network.

    This includes the ability to make or receive calls, even emergency calls.

    What You Need to Do:

    1. Inform Your Customers: Please urge your customers to check their device compatibility by texting "3G" to 3498.
    2. Encourage Upgrades: If any customer devices are not compatible, please encourage them to upgrade to a new phone or update their software (if possible) before October 28th.
    3. Reach Out for Support: If you have any questions or require assistance, please don't hesitate to contact your account manager.
  • Additionally, we're currently preparing individual lists of potentially impacted customers for all SPs. These lists will be available through your respective Account Managers shortly.
